Scrapbook hertiage page of my mom and her sister in 1947

I have been working on putting a family history scrapbook together.  This photo is so sweet and innocent.  I used the lyrics from Simon and Garfunkel’s song , Bookends.  The lyrics are perfect for this layout.  I wish I could have known my mother when she was so sweet and new.ImageImageImage

My great grandmother, a scrapbook page for my family history book

This is my great grandmother who was named Martha Fritz Meier.  She came to America from Germany as a child.  She married my great grandfather when she was 18 and living in Minn.  They came to California and she had 11 children.  Unfortunately, my great grandfather died early and my g. grandmother had to support her family.  She was a strong woman who lived to 88 years old.  The contrast between the two photos ; one when she was about 40 and the last right before she died at 88 are both so beautiful.ImageImageImage

Renaissance beauty in green flower mixed media collage art journal page

Still experimenting with this grunge art journal page.  Wanted to juxtaposition the bright greens with the art card of one of Botticelli’s renaissance beauties.  Made with flowers, stencils, an art card that I made . I used spray paints and metallic paints, tissue papers, and Swarovski crystals.Image

1956 vintage post stamp from Monaco commemorating the marriage of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier

I found these two stamps in perfect condition at an estate sale of an 80 year old woman.  She kept them all these years in a stamp album. This was one of the most romantic weddings of the 1950s. My mother thought Grace Kelly was a magic princess.  When I saw these stamps I remembered my mother talking about this wedding. ImageImageI guess this lady thought it was romantic too as she kept these stamps in perfect condition all these years.

I matted and framed them and put them up for sale in my etsy shop ;  here https://www.etsy.com/listing/192260710/postage-stamp-prince-rainier-and-grace?ref=shop_home_active_1
